I ordered a vintage crocheting magazine on eBay and started crocheting my first vest.
Magazine: Vintage 1969 The Gypsy Vest Jack Frost Crochet Knitting Patterns Instructions. Later, I found a free pattern online - HERE. Enjoy!
I used Kraemer Yarns Perfection DK yarn, which took about 3 skeins and a hook #5. I didn't use pattern instructions for armholes, just my personal measurements.
The yarn shrinks a lot, so first, I steam-blocked a large swatch before crocheting, then blocked a whole piece, not touching it with the iron, carefully, steam only.
I bought lovely bone beads in a small, charming shop in Santa Monica - Beadah Shop
Then I learned how to make a crochet fringe on YouTube - Tutorial HERE, and added a bead to it with the help of the additional hook.
A handmade label adds a personal touch to my finished project.
Completed! I'm so proud of how this turned out! Link for purchase on Etsy - HERE
